Beit Sefer

Do you have a child approaching Bar/Bat Mitzvah age?
Our synagogue requires a minimum of two years of Beit Sefer (grades 5 & 6) prior to the B'nei Mitzvah year (grade 7). Please contact Steve Friedenthal (TBO Administrator) at tboffice@shaw.ca to discuss your child’s Bar / Bat Mitzvah preparations.

Introduction to Judaism
This course provides an introduction to a wide spectrum of Jewish topics,
Taught by Reb Bill Dolman, this course provides an introduction to a wide spectrum of Jewish topics, through readings and lively discussions. Although the course is geared primarily for non-Jews, it is not offered as a conversion course.
The first class for 2010-2011 will be held on Sunday, August 29, at 10 a.m.
Other events
Havdallah Evenings: Join us once a month for havdallah and an adult education program, with topics ranging from prayerbooks to candle-making. The events are hosted by TBO members, and start at 7:45 pm.
Torah Study: Join us once a month on Saturday morning for a discussion of the week's Torah portion. The Torah study starts at 10 am, and is held twice each month.
